TEHRAN – Iran released the list of futsal players for the eighth Asian edition here Sunday. Tashkent, the Uzbek capital, will hold the Asian tournament from May 21-28.

The seven-time Asian champion Iran is scheduled to leave for Tashkent in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Iran has been drawn in Group D alongside Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Indonesia.

According to the Futsal Committee, the team comprises Reza Nasseri, Mostafa Nazari, Vahid Shamsaii, Mohammad Hashemzadeh, Mohsen Zarei, Majid Reissi, Hossein Soltani, Mohammad Taheri, Majid Tikdarinejad, Majid Soltani, Massud Daneshvar, Kazem Mohammadi, Seyyed Amin Mussavi, and Ali-Asghar Hassanzadeh.
