SITTARD, Netherlands — Turkey beat World Cup-bound Angola 3-2 in an exhibition match on Friday, with Kaiserslautern's Halil Altintop scoring the winner 6 minutes from the end.
Angola went into halftime up 1-0 on captain Fabrice Akwa's goal in the 31st minute. Necati Ates equalized for Turkey 6 minutes into the second half with a powerful shot.
Turkey went ahead in the 71st minute when Nihat Kahveci, who is moving from Real Sociedad to Villarreal next season, beat defender Luis Delgado at the edge of the box before firing a low shot past goalkeeper Joao Ferreira.
Substitute Arsenio Cabungula pulled the Angolans back even with an 80th-minute goal, but Altintop scored 4 minutes later on a header.
