Iran number one Ebrahim Mirzapour is wanted by Portuguese outfit National Madeira.
The 27-year-old had a difficult opening game at the World Cup finals against Mexico, but he then made amends with a terrific display against Portugal.
Now Madeira have opened talks for the Foolad number one and are confident of securing a deal.
"The subject is very advanced," said Madeira president Rui Alves.
"We have open contacts with his club and several agents.
"The player is disposed to the adventure of Portugal and I believe the Federation of Iran will not create any problems with the permission."

LOL! The Portuguese must be desperate
Admittedly, the Tunisian keeper made 3 mistakes last night to let the Spanish win 3-1 so Mirza is probably not the worst keeper in WC.

Guys shoot me, but I think with some REAL coaching Mirzapour can still turn into a solid goalkeeper. He is very quick and has good reactions. But he needs to improve his judgment on high balls and his kicking. Both of these can be fixed with some good coaching and plenty of practice.
