Masoud Shojaei in Wolfsburg trials

Iran international and FC Sharjah midfielder Massoud Shojaei is trialling with Germany's Wolfsburg.

"He is a young talented offensive player. It was a short-notice measure. I will now hold talks with his advisor," Wolfsburg's team manager and coach Felix Magath said.

  1. Behrad Says:

Hope he makes it to Bundesliga, he seems to be a talented player who is underused in the national team level. That won’t remain the case, if he starts playing in the German league.

  2. Afshin Says:

I hope so too, but he better stop screwing with the ball as if it was his girlfriend!

  3. Ehsan Says:

Didn’t Magath buy Mr. Karimi for Bayer Munich?

  4. Afshin Says:

Hi Ehsan jAn, yes, Magath was instrumental in Bayern signing Karimi. He insisted on it and finally convinced the Bayern brass.

  5. Ehsan Says:

So Magath is either very brave or very stupid to try Shojaei, given the huge disappointment that Karimi was at Bayern and the similarity of the backgrounds of the two players (Iranian playing in Emirates.)

  6. Karan Says:

It is said that shojaei has joined Seria A club Napoli, former club of Maradona ;)
