World Cup finalists Ghana have cancelled a friendly in Iran at the end of the month because they do not have a full-strength squad available, the country's football association announced on Friday.
Ghana said they were unable to call up the majority of their first-choice squad members, who are based in Europe, because the March 29 date did not coincide with FIFA's international calendar, when clubs are forced to release players for international duty.
The football association said Ghana had confirmed a friendly against South Korea in Glasgow, Scotland on June 4 prior to their arrival in Germany for the World Cup.
Ghana are drawn in Group E, with the Czech Republic, Italy and the US, for the month-long tournament which begins on June 9.
